Knudepunktet Vejen

At Farstrup Furniture, we have had the pleasure of collaborating with Knudepunktet Vejen on a project where togetherness, craftsmanship, and recycling go hand in hand. Knudepunktet is an active meeting place for citizens aged 60+, where community, creative activities, and presence are part of everyday life.

The project is based on upcycling a series of chairs, which after 38 years now live on in a new form. Volunteers and users from Knudepunktet were responsible for the initial preparation, where the frames were polished and sanded, and the old upholstery removed. Farstrup Furniture then took over the renovation at the factory, where the chairs were repainted, upgraded with new foam, and upholstered with a durable and sustainable textile made of recycled polyester. The accompanying tables were also cleaned and varnished, so they are now ready for many more years of use.

The result is furniture that has been given new life, created with respect for both materials and people. A project that strengthens Knudepunktet's community and ensures that users can continue to sit comfortably in their daily interactions.
